David Johnson (Director of Operations)
David is a Solicitor and also a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. David has worked for some of the largest insurance defendant firms in the North West where he had particular interest in road traffic accidents, employers liability claims and industrial disease claims. He has a particular interest in deafness claims and asbestos. As a Director of Operations, David has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the entire firm.
Mark Johnson (Head of Personal Injury)
Mark is a Solicitor and Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Mark has acted for trade union members in employers’ liability and disease litigation claims for over 25 years. He qualified as a Legal Executive in 1990 before completing the legal practice course at Liverpool John Moores University in 2005 to qualify as a solicitor. Mark has also attained Senior Litigator status with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. He has a particular interest in Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) together with asbestos cases and upper limb disorders. He is active within the Labour party and has held office within his local Labour Party and trade union, the GMB. Mark is also Head of the EL Disease Department and is in the process of expanding and progressing this side of the Practice.
Shirley Stock (CILEX)
Shirley started her legal career in 1990 and became a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1996. She is a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and is Accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under the Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme. Shirley specialises in claims arising from road traffic accidents, public liability, employers liability, and health and beauty claims. In her spare time she enjoys music and reading.
Matthew Walne (Litigation Executive)
Matthew has extensive experience in road traffic accident claims and personal injury claims.
He started in the road traffic industry working for The Claims Service (part of Endsleigh Insurance) where Matthew handled third party dispute claims and his role was to obtain the best possible settlement.
Matthew enjoyed his role dealing with ordinary people and helping them recover the maximum compensation. He has dealt with claims involving simple strains to broken bones.
Matthew's hobbies include watching Burnley F.C and enjoying his spare time with his family, partner Steph and young daughter Evie.
Qualifications BA Hons in American Studies.
Shelly Murphy (CILEX)
Shelly is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives having qualified in 2002. She has worked in the Claimant Personal Injury industry for over 15 years dealing with all areas of personal injury law. Shelly specialised in Road Traffic Accident claims for 8 years and currently deals with the majority of disputed cases, handling claims involving minor whiplash to higher value complex injuries. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and keeping fit, and spending time with her family.
